App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nail Boss Studio LLC ("Nail Boss Studio," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Nail Boss Studio iPhone app and the Square services used to schedule and manage appointments.

Native app and Square booking

The app has no separate Nail Boss customer account or profile. Native Home, Visit, and More screens show studio content, contact information, and legal links. Before booking, the app asks you to select South Tampa or Carrollwood and then displays that location's official Square Booking experience.

When you use Square Booking, Nail Boss Studio and Square may process your name, email address, phone number, birthday if requested, selected location, service and variation, price, duration, staff member, date and time, appointment status or history, optional notes, communications choices, and other information you enter. Square may offer its own customer sign-in and appointment-management tools.

If a booking requires a card, authorization, deposit, or payment, Square collects and processes payment information. Nail Boss Studio does not receive your complete card number through the native app.

The embedded Square page may process IP address, cookies or similar identifiers, device or browser characteristics, page interactions, coarse location inferred from IP, and diagnostic or security information. The native app does not request precise iPhone location and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

How we use information

• Show live studios, services, prices, durations, staff, and availability.
• Provide waitlist, booking, confirmation, rescheduling, cancellation, and appointment-management functions.
• Process booking-related card authorizations, deposits, or payments through Square.
• Send confirmations, reminders, receipts, schedule changes, security codes, and support messages.
• Send optional promotional communications only where permitted and selected.
• Prevent fraud, secure the service, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

We use Square for booking, customer, staff, catalog, availability, communications, card, and payment services; hosting providers for public app configuration and legal pages; Apple for app distribution and platform services; and mapping or telephone services only when you choose those native actions. Each provider may process information under its own terms and privacy notice.

We do not sell personal information or use information collected by the native app for cross-app targeted advertising. We may disclose information when needed to provide a service you request, protect customers or the business, comply with law, respond to legal process, or complete a business reorganization.

Retention and security

We retain appointment, transaction, support, security, and business records only as reasonably necessary for salon operations, accounting, taxes, fraud prevention, disputes, legal requirements, and the purposes described above. Square and other providers retain information under their own policies and legal obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards and HTTPS for production communication. Square credentials are not stored in the iPhone app. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and privacy requests

Use the controls offered by Square to access or manage a Square booking or account. You may also request access, correction, or deletion from Nail Boss Studio through our support contact, subject to applicable law and record-retention exceptions. For information independently controlled by Square or Apple, use that provider's privacy controls.

Deleting the iPhone app does not automatically delete Square customer, appointment, transaction, or legally required business records.

Children

The app and booking service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information can contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, providers, business practices, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
